Jan. 10th

We are in the major driving portion of the trip but today we hit two national parks.  The first was Carlsbad Canyons.  I took the shortcut 75 stories down into the caves.  The elevator saved my ankle which is really starting to feel better.  I'm hoping i'll be ready for beer pong at my brother's place in Tucson.  Caverns were way cool but we missed the mass bat exodus at sunset.  We still had to drive over the Sacramento Mountains to White Sands National Park.
